For me a day on Jomtien Beach is not complete without a plate of BBQd squid, simply cooked over charcoal and served with chilli sauce. Four medium sized squid costs 100 baht. This lady is my favourite Squid Vendor, she seems to be better than most and presents the finished product with a bit of flair. SangSom and soda makes a perfect accompaniment.

Just showed to my wife...she is drooling! We are in the US for a month, but back next week. Food is just not the same here....

It has been a few years but I enjoyed the same experience with my future ex-wife including a small bottle of Thai whiskey with a bucket of ice. I dragged her to the beach three days in a row for squid and whiskey. I also recall all the poor vendor ladies scattered when they were alerted that the police were in the vicinity. I'll try it again in January.
