Ultrasound is usually used for organ studies not bony ones as the bones would scatter the soundwaves and no clear image would be possible.

Sure this is not MRI that is referred to here? If so, most of the bigger hospitals would have good quality MRI scanners available.

ultrasound and MRI - is a different test, and I need ultrasound
