When should I check in at Bangkok Airport?

A :

International flights: Check-in counters open three hours before scheduled departure time and close 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time.All gates close 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Domestic flights: Check-in counters open two hours before the scheduled departure time and close 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. All gates close 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.Please be aware that during morning and afternoon rush hours, it can often take two hours to reach the airport from a riverside hotel. Plan accordingly.

Domestic passengers of all classes should enter Entrance 2 in order to check in at Row C.

What documents do I need to present at check-in?

A :

For international flights, your passport with visa (if required at the destination), and your ticket. For domestic flights, only your ticket and I.D are required.

Also, if you want credit for frequent flyer miles, you should also present your Royal Orchid Plus card.

Their own website says check in closes 30 minutes before departure and the gate closes 10 minutes before departure.

However, the wife, baby and I fronted up at the check-in for an Udon flight 15 minutes before departure and they checked us in, multiple bags and baby carrier as well. That was at a quiet 6pm period mid-week.

Great airline... great airport.
