Extention In A Non-used Visa?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I have a business 3 month multiple visa. They said that they couldnt give yearly ones, i have to extend it only in Thailand (!!). That was in Thai Embassy in Athens.

Long story short, I couldnt make it to Thailand during the given period and i have a week left on the visa above (3month-multiple-business).

Can i extend it from any embassy? (currently i am in New York)

If i can, will i need to have with me all the freakin' paperwork again? I am actualy trying to avoid that , cause i dont have them anymore.

Any help will be appreciated!

thanks

You need to reapply if you plan to enter after the visa's validity date (in your case 89 days after issue).

AFAIK you can not extend a visa. You will need a new visa and will have to meet the paperwork requirements of the Consulate you apply.

so, if i show up in Thailand while the visa is good i have to go through the Immigration and extend it with the paperwork?

If you arrive in Thailand before the visa expires you will be given a 90 day stay; period.

Any out of country travel will require a re entry permit (after the current week). It (your stay) can not be extended by immigration except for reason (such as a job with a work permit that meets extension of stay requirements).
