I just bought some Blackmore "hyperiforte" (= St John's Wort)to see if it will help my with general "mood", but totally confused how many to take.

I have read suggestions like this on the Net: "900 mg per day (given in 300 mg tablets, three times a day)", or "The suggested dosage for St. Johns Wort is 200 to 1000 mg. of 0.3% standardized hypericin content per day."

But I don't know how to translate this to the stuff I bought. On the bottle it says one tablet contains 1800 mg, standardized to contain hypercin deriviatives calculated as hypercin 0.99 mg). So I supposed the first thing to work out is the % of standardized hypericin in the stuff I bought. Are they say it is just 0.99mg out of 1800 mg?

Anyway, totally confused, so won't waffle on, but if anyone has this worked out, please let me know :)

thanks,

pete

no - and we're fine! amazing really... hence the correct amount to take is between none and as much spare money as you need to pointlessly dispose of jap.gif
