I've kind of done Pattaya to death, looking for a change of underwater scenery. Anyone got recommendations on other places worth diving for a weekend trip out of Bangkok?

Is there anything good on Samet or around Chonburi?

Koh Sichang is a great weekend getaway from Bangkok.

You catch a ferry from Sri Racha, so it's roughly half way to Pattaya from The Kok.

The water is much clearer than in Pattaya.

A couple named Pan & David run a website about the island at www.ko-sichang.com and they also have pages about snorkeling www.ko-sichang.com/snorkel.html and diving www.ko-sichang.com/dive.html.

Honestly I have no affiliation with them but you should also try out their food at their restaurant, which is very well cooked and tasty (the home made almond ice cream is especially superb).

David is very rarely in the restaurant (I have only seen him once on multiple visits) but Pan is usually there and she will help you with any information that you need about the island.
