Registration Of Sim Cards

Featured Replies

I am wondering just the same.

But still no one that seem to have done it.

Maybe visit an AIS office and ask? :o

Registered my 1-2-talk pre-pay SIM today.

Went to Telewiz - in the Carrefour complex on Pattaya Klang.

Took all of 2 minutes and the only info they needed was the phone number and my passport number.

Did you bring your passport or it is just enough with th number of tel. amd pass.p? :o

Hey ho hey ho...

I lost a couple of letters there. I'm sure you know what I am talking about..

Have one more on my behalf.... I am out :o

I bought a phone a few days ago for my wife - had to fill in a form with address, passport number etc...

So, I fly in from Russia with my gsm phones, buy some sim, show a seperate, false pport to Nok or Noi at various shops, list my cheap hotel address, sell my phones to a ratbag from the south and fly out after a few days.

What a foolproof system Toxin's cronies have dreamed up!....... :o

More scenarios please?

Just had a copy of my passport with me (I rarely carry the original) but they didn't even ask to see that, just asked me to write the number on a form, along with the phone number. This wasn't a separate form BTW, just another entry on a list with lots of other peoples' phone info already there.

just received a message from GSM 1 2 call. Registration of sim cards are to start on July first to Dec 31st of this year. In other words you have six months to register. Personally i don't think anything would happen if you didn't register.

Personally if they cut me off I'm going to be pissed. I loaded up before I left and wont be back until Jan 5 :o

Have had my 1-2 call number for some years now and now with international roaming... No questions asked what so ever// Wonder how this will end up??

You have time to register until December 31, 2005. No worries.

Registerd my sim at carrefour in Pattya last week, at AIS shop second floor, all you need is YOUR SIM phone number and Passport number, Print and sign name I'm with 12 call, easy peasy lemon squeezy :o

No documents at all?

Gee.... makes for another scenario. Simply write down as a passport number "123456789"

(hmmm... there's 9 numbers on passports, right?... if not add a couple more for Nok and Noi's and your own personal amusement).

But no need to worry about registering yet anyway. After the government's "shoot and kill" policy gets into full swing, the program will end before Dec. 31, as the South will empty.

Just received the same SMS from AIS asking me to register my SIM.

Looks like they are going ahead with this :o

We were in Pattaya last month prior to moving there. My wife's UK 02 sim card failed. She went into a shop on Walking St. and bought a 12call sim card. She had to produce her p/port number.

Is there anywhere in South Pattaya that you can register your SIM?

Telewiz on 2nd floor of the IT Centre on South Pattaya Road. Just bring your passport.
