Looking For A Weekend Get Away

Featured Replies

I am looking for a weekend getaway within driving distance of BKK. Some place where I can lay on the beaches during the day and dance in the clubs at night...

Thanks

Hua Hin

Yep Hua Hin...bars open till daylight

Pattaya indeed (but don't kiss any of my girlfriends)!

Believe me honey i am not going to be kissing any of your girlfriends. I am a girl... I probably was not clear enough in what I was looking for. During the day some nice beaches to soak up the sun and have a few drinks and then in the evening a club with maybe a live band so that I can dance.. :)not so that I can watch the bar girls dance...

Thanks

You won't want Pattaya,

Hua Hin it is then.

Hua Hin is nice, but the beaches are nothing special and there's not much in the way of nightlife. Mainly a few quite bars and restaurants. I ilke Hua Hin but I don't think it's what you're looking for.How about Koh Samet? Much better beaches and there is a lot more nightlife than Hua Hin, especially at the weekends. Or even Koh Chang if you're willing to drive a little further.

Pattaya still fits the bill, beaches and lots of clubs with live bands and no bar girls.

The hotels and foreign food are most reasonable compared to most tourist spots in Thailand. Suntan on the beach, but swim in the hotel pool and - whatever you do - do not bother with Lolita's even if someone tells you what fine music they play. :D

I wouldn't suggest Lolita's in Pattaya either. Although, I have been told that the quality of some of the instrumentalists is quite high!biggrin.gif
