July 13, 201015 yr I'm looking for some kind of foundation, which could help me with my problem. I'm living in Central Europe, but I'd like to become a bhikkhu (monk) in Thailand (at Wat Pah Nanachat). But as it's quite expensive, and I'm quite poor it won't be so easy for me. I'm working now, collecting some money, but the whole amount seems unreachable to me. So if any of you know any kind of foundation, whether Thai or international, which could help me, please could you post the name of it (and its contact information, if possible). Thank you for your help in advance. With Metta
July 13, 201015 yr You are probably a bit late now...but the Dammakaya foundation is currently ordaining 100,000 monks for free as long as they ordain for at least a Pansa...
July 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the answer! Actually I'd rather like to ordain at a forest monastery, and not just temporally. Oh, yeh, and I forget to say, that the expenses would be mainly travelling costs, as the actual ordination is free at WPN. And of course the visa 'extension' is also quite complicated and take some money.
July 15, 201015 yr You should write to WPN and tell them your situation, maybe they can suggest some options. You are probably better off ordaining closer to home
