Different websites emphasizing different totals answering different questions going through an online translator. Thai revenue is correct. Up to 120K is in the 0% bracket, plus personal exemption of 30K, makes 150K. Over 65 (or under 65 handicapped) gets an additional 190K exemption. Tax office is correct. The first 120K is taxed at 0%. Anything above that is potentially taxable, depending on exemptions. -

Probably one of the major factors may be lack of bike skills/experience. Not proud of it, but can say I rode bikes in Indonesia and Thailand while off chops many times in my 20/30s and never had a serious accident….grew up riding bikes (dirt and later road) from age 10 or even younger -

If you're not registered to pay tax, and don't have a Thai tax number, you don't pay. It's as simple as that. There's far too much scaremongering going on! Check back in ten years and absolutely nothing will have changed - they're not out to fleece elderly expats living here on foreign pensions - or those with Thai families. -

My wife's CB125 R can hit over 150kmh and I once had a 650cc that would struggle to hit that speed. Speed dosent equal the size of the bike. In Thailand the term Big Bike means above 500cc. Again bad reporting. -
