I saw someone on here earlier sign up with the name eddiehitler, for those who don't know its a character name from the English tv series 'bottom'.

Another member made a complaint about it and the guy has changed his nick to eddieh now.

Is the name Hitler banned from TV even when not reffering to Adolf Hitler? Doesn't that seem a bit over the top?

I requested that he changed his name.

I thought it was an inappropriate name to be appearing on a public forum.

There are alot of Non English people on this forum who arent aware of Bottom of various races who would have taken offence to this name, so thats why i requested he changed it.

I had no intention of wanting to get him banned just to change his name to a more appropriate one.

Also an easy target for nasty remarks.

Name has been changed to eddieh.

Ok Ok, both reasons sound totally reasonable, just having a quick moan. I just had a flicker of panic that this board was getting too PC. , I should have thought for a bit more before I posted, of course there are many other nations to consider, your right its not just Brits here.

BTW love the avatar Penzman, I also wanted to keep that type of Red Eyed Tree Frog, but they was about 50-60 quid each in the UK when I wanted one and known to be difficult to keep.
