Illegal DVD movie production house in Central Pattaya, shut down by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA: -- Police Colonel Nantawoot and a team of officers from Pattaya Police Station took part in a raid of a room at an apartment complex in Soi Bongkot, in Central Pattaya which was suspected of being used as a production house for illegally coped DVD movies. Inside the room was Khun Egarak aged 31, who confessed to owning the computer equipment and printers which were used to produce the movies which he would distribute to mobile DVD movie vendors.

Perhaps he hasn't been paying his tea money, or his vendors have been treading on the Boys In Brown's patch.

Raids like this lack credibility, and are probably little more than shows for the press and TV in order to collect a few more international media brownie points. The police know very well what is being produced and sold where, and could stop the lot tomorrow if they wanted to.
