Quite right SC, everyone hopes for a good innings, but I reckon it's how you bat, not how long you stay at the crease that really counts- for the batsman, fielders and any spectators interested in watching.

LOL, BN killing myself with laughter here, make sure you dont bat for the other side.

rgs, that's an outrageous remark, as someone who had to share a changing room at school with the confirmed shirt lifter Stephen Fry, it has never entered my mind to swap sides and be his opening partner.

When Stephen was at the crease, I refused to stand at silly mid-off or indeed short leg. Far too dangerous, extra cover was a much safer position.

I dont normally like posting these sort of links, but this is way too good to miss, get it downloaded and saved.

Ray, the greatest living Englishman, although BN may disagree, thinks he still has the hots for SF, LOL.

The anniversary of the ending of WW! has just passed, in another 3 years it will be 100 years. To all the young sent to senseless slaughter, us privileged ones can't bow our heads enough. Complaints about elderly ailments mean nothing, at least we got to that age. Those poor souls never saw 30 years.

Another track guaranteed to preserve energy levels in those of middle age.. My doctor (Dr Robert) recommended a monthly dosage dissolved in alcohol. Although he didn't promise longevity, he did guarantee 'quality of life' ......So true

.

Dedicated to a hero of my youth, passed away, not many on here will have heard of him, and even fewer will care.

Phil Philhty Animal Taylor, drummer with Motorhead.

61, way too young to go.

Bangkok gets a mention, in Bangkok at 12 0 clock they foam at the mouth and run, but mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun
