I am a 48 year old American, and currently have a double entry tourist visa.

The first 60 days after my first entry ended last week, so I went to the immigration office in Jomtien to pay the 1900 baht and get my renewal stamp. That is done. My question is do I have to go back in another week for a free 14 day stamp, or am I good until the next visa run. I read somewhere about a free stamp, that is why I am asking.

I would have asked at the immigration office, but they don't seem to be too interested in answering questions. They just point you in the direction of another employee.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU

There is no free stamp. That is when you arrive at the border without a visa.

After your extension is finished you have to leave Thailand. If you have another entry you can use that to come back to Thailand the same day and get another 60 day which you can also extend with 30 days. Be sure however to re-enter Thailand before the VISA itself expires, otherwise your entry will be lost.

What is the "ENTER BEFORE" date on your tourist visa?

The enter before date says September 2

The most recent stamp I got in Jomtien says permitted up to September 1

Is there any such thing as a free 14 day stamp that I would have to get before September 1. I don't want to end up with an overstay.

THANKS

You have to leave Thailand by 1st September and re enter before 2nd September to get your second 60 day entry. This can also be extended for 30 days at Immigration.

There is no free 14 day stamp.
