Does anyone know what year the former British consulate - the one that is now part of The Chedi - was built and/or opened?

It was opened in 1884 as the British consulate.as there was already a large British presence here.

Suggest you get a copy of De Mortuis from the Foreign Cemetery 200 baht. Full of interesting Chiangmai history.

Actually I found out that the building I was enquiring about was built in 1915. Nice try, though!
