We'll celebrate this holiday by bicycling to Talat Wararot, and finding a "special" rose to give to Mae Noi, our eighty-something moo-baan's ancient grandmother who presides, in state, over a fractal collage of things, through which dogs and cats wander, that, in total, resembles a convenience store after a typhoon.

For us, she is, indeed, the "Earth Mother."

I guess the party will have to be tomorrow though, with many bars closed today? Normally I'd go out anyway and celebrate, but with rain coming down in quantity again I think that makes it a double whammy.
