Chaturat - Chaiyaphum Area - Skype Voice Not Working

Featured Replies

Now I live in the Chaturat - Chaiyaphum area.

I have just started using Edge wireless internet and to make sure that it works okay, I borrowed a laptop computer from a friend and Skype voice worked 100%.

Then I tried with my laptop computer and Skype Conversations work okay but Skype voice calls do not so this means I need some new, faster and more high-powered hardware.

Question 1

1. What is the cheapest and best solution?.

I have an extra flat screen monitor and also extra keyboards and mouse, so I do not need to buy those and my current computer works fine for other things .......

I could by a new notebook but I am hoping there is a cheaper way.

Question 2

Can you please recommend someone who is reliable so I can contact him and buy what I need?

Thanks for your help.

You didn't give enough information. Skype doesn't require a very powerful machine. Did you use a headset with a mic? If not, I wonder if you have a microphone on your laptop. Not all laptops have one. In that case all that is necessary is to buy a headset with a mic.

If the computer has a mic, did you check your audio settings? In that case you don't need to buy anything.

Some things that would be helpful to know: You mentioned Skype voice does not work. In what way? Did you try calling Skype's echo service. Can you hear the Skype operator? When you were prompt to speak, did you hear your voice?

Since you appear to be a novice, I recommend you speak to someone at an IT center like Pan Tip Plaza, to help setup Skype for you.
