W7 Freeze - SharedAccess_NAT

Featured Replies

almost every 2-3 days out of the blue W7 freeze. Nothing works. Even ctrl-alt-delete doesn't work.

Event viewer shows this error and I am unable to understand the meaning

SharedAccess_NAT

The DNS proxy agent was unable to allocate 0 bytes of memory. This may indicate that the system is low on virtual memory, or that the memory manager has encountered an internal error.

What is to do to avoid further occurrences?

W7 ultimate - 3GB RAM - regular updates installed - graphic driver updated (GForce 7600GT)

Thanks

Disable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).

It is anyway strange... Why would NAT cause a problem like this,,, it is trying to allocate zero byte...

Regardless if this is really due to the NAT or not... :) it shouldn't behave like that...

Did you ever enable ICS in the first place?

I was running ICS for years on w2k and win98 without any problems... Well I had other problems, but not with ICS....
