Becks

Featured Replies

Is Becks available in any of the supermarkets / bottle shops in Chiang Mai? I've not looked but a friend is hankering after it - thought I'd treat him if it's to be found easily here.. Anyone noticed it?

Thanks in advance

Beck's beer used to be produced in Thailand by Thai Amarit brewery, but as far as I know they stopped producing a few years ago. I reckon the Thais didn't like it's light taste. It may be imported but I doubt it.

Have a butcher's in Rimping, they've got several German beers in there.

And every one of them is better than Becks.

I remember when they had Beck's here. That had to be in the 90's or late 90's anyway. Didn't go over well or last too long from what I remember.

One beer I tried here recently was the Japanese Asahi beer. It's brewed in Thailand but tastes quite the same as the ones I've had in Japan or even the imports in the US, not bad at all. I think they're around 65 baht for the large bottles.
