i want to buy a netbook, but can i run Windows XP on it?

Yes. I got a Samsung after my Acer died (no more Acers for me) and took off the Windows 7 starter and put on XP SP3 and I'm happy.

No hesitation in recommending Samsung.

I've had a Samsung NC10 for around 15 months and it's never missed a beat. XP, 160GB Hard drive, 2GB Ram ( Got 1GB extra free when I bought it and also free External CD/DVD Drive at the same time. Does everything it needs to do, I can run large programs like Photoshop or Illustrator with no problems and I use it as my main computer. Have an Acer laptop as a backup.
