Toyota Avaneza/Avanza In Cm

Featured Replies

HI

My wife would like to change our Honda City for A Toyota Avneza/Avanza.

I would like to hire one for a day first to try out. did a search but only came up

with an old, out of date thread.

Does anyone know where I can hire one for a day in Chiang Mai?

Thanks

David

North Wheels had a few Avanza's last time we passed there David.

We've got an Avanza and I'd be happy to show it off to you and indeed sing its praises if you'd care to pop into the Olde Bell.

For me its the perfect Chiang Mai car: its got height and plenty of clearance, it turns on a sixpence, it's fuel efficient and good for families ( a large boot or extra row of seats) We've taken it up and down pretty much every hill and dale in the North with ne'er a protest!

You wont pull any birds in it, but as a family man that doesn't bother us!!

I rented one from North Wheels a couple of years back and put 2000 km on the clock on a trip to Surin and back. A mite under powered when laden but it would be on my list for a city car for sure - check out the Zaphira too.

Recommendations from my 2 'wildest' friends!

Seems like a very practical, cheap to run, but slightly underpowered car (1.3 engine at least)

Won't be trying to take it up Doi Inthanon though!

On the contrary, David, it will take Doi Inthanon without a murmur! I entirely agree with Greenside it is a tad underpowered, which Toyota have addressed and as far as I know all new models are 1.5
