Looking For Reputable Clinics Offering Traditional Asian Medicine

Featured Replies

Hi all

I am looking for a new approach to deal with stress, minor depression and sleeping problems, and was thinking about trying traditional Asian medicine. As I have limited knowledge in this field I would appreciate your help! I am looking for reputable clinics or hospitals that offer such treatments - shiatsu, acupuncture, herbal medicine etc. Costs is of less importance, but what is important is that the place would be serious and with good reputation. Best would be a hospital that offers various treatments to choose from, though any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Erap

Dear Erap,

In my view the best hospital for traditional Chinese medicine is Hua Chiew - you want the branch next to Bobae market. They have a number of Chinese acupuncturists and also sell Chinese herbs. The problem is language, and it is pot luck how much English is understood. For Thai people the nurse translates into Chinese. I was most recently there last month and the doctor spoke good English, I think she might have gone home though.

Hope you are keeping well,

All the Best,

Bill Z

There is also a Chinese medicine clinic within St Louis Hospital.

I have not heard any feedback on it but doctors there have all studied in China, and it is a very reputable hospital. the English speaking aspect may be a lot easier than at Hua Chiew.

If you do go there, I'll be interested in getting your feedback

Thank you guys... I speak both Chinese and also some passable Thai - I'll take a look at both places next week and post my experience.
