I am not happy with the rank!!!

How come DJ seed ranks higher than DJ Spydamonkee?

DJ seed is overrated big time!

I like DJ OATAWA & KOLOR ONE and DJ Suharit

Is Tiesto still world No.1 Dj this year huh?

Oatowa and Kolor One aka the mix up crew are playing in Ibiza next month with Tiesto.

Lastest news from the DJ polls... eventhough DJ Nakadia made it only to 21 in this Bangkok poll (she hardly ever plays in BKK), she is making her way into the official DJ mag DJ top100 this month. This is an amazing success for a Thai DJ and can have a big effect on clubbing in Thailand.

It would be great if Nakadia could get some votes from her home country as well, as all european DJs get huge support at home. So far all Nakadia votes came from Europe! If you want to check her out and see why she is getting so successfull, go see her at Astra on saturday, September 24.

If you want to support Nakadia or any other DJ of your choice, take a minute and vote at the DJ mag top 100 poll

Now, many of those DJs in that list above me aren't fit to carry my record box, so I won't consider it a true reflection of the real scene.

carrying record boxs are a thing of the past and will break your back

final scratch 2.0 by stanton is much better

Asian DJ's are crap.

They do not know how to build up the tension.

Just beat matching and play the latest songs.

That is how they think, If I have the latest new songs I am nr 1.

I have been spinning records since 1985 and was chosen Nr 2 DJ of Holland a few years ago.

And guess what, DJ Tiesto was one of my students as well as DJ Pavo.

At that time I was in close contact with Carl Cox, he was impressed by my style and showed me how to mix with three turntables( I was impressed).

At that time I made a decision to focus on my current job as the whole DJ stuff did not pay well.

How wrong I have been.

Tiesto now earning about 10.000 Euro per gig.

You are right, but I think most of the DJ's stay only Thailand because of Thailand.

But life is full of choices. :o

Was asked by a local club here to play for 1-2 hours as the owner is a Dutchie

and knows me.

Pay: 1000 Bath

He said that is the common pay for DJ's in Thailand.

I declined.

Have nice parties at my house, no pay but just people that want to have a good night.

They just have to bring some drinks and thats all.

Anyway I have seen an old guy (maybe 50) playing at Bed Supper so I will ask about the pay.

Cheers all,

Alex

It is Ok you think like that Tyree, as you do not know who I am and with what people I interacted with

during my time as a part time DJ.

I am not a loser I only decided at that time choosing a carreer as a ful time DJ was not very lucrative

as I had a daytime job as a global consultant for Akzo Nobel.

Now it is for the famous DJ's.

Think of it , they just play others songs and some produce their own music and are partly succesfull.

A good DJ builds up the tension of the crowd by choosing their songs based on reactions on the type of music they play during a gig.

Most of DJ's now play a preprogrammed selection of what they think sounds good and is their selection of songs.

As an example I tell you I tried to introduce breakbeats 10 years ago in Holland, nobody liked it, now it is very populair in some places.

I have played for A crowd of 30 to 10.000 people and it was good.

Tyree If you know the famous Dutch DJ's and music producers just ask if they know me.

Just ask if they know : Da Real -X
