Just noticed in Stickmans weekly column.

"Club Electric Blue is having a beach party on July 21st at Pratumnak Road, Soi 5, in front of U-Tong Condo in Pattaya. All the girls from Bangkok and Pattaya will be there to party. There is a free BBQ and drinks and all are welcome from midday onwards."

Sounds like it might be fun,as its only about 500 meters from my abode I might have a look.I'm sure its not free drinks, just the way Stickman word's it.

Got the sms from the boss man a couple of days ago. Might lose the wife for the day and attend.

I'll see the guv tonight and get more info on it :o

Important day for Buddhists, good timing for a full-on party on the beach......

Not sure what the law says but undoubtedly will offend some Thais.

Nice wind up......................or terrible sense of timing. No drink to be sold OR GIVEN AWAY on that particular Buddha day. I'm sure the Police won't take any notice, as it's been plastered all over Thailand :o

That won't stop thousands of thai's getting pissed though will it?

The party is going ahead.

It looks like I( might be wrong as well, because I had always thought it was law to close for the two days. But, according to the post' Police ask nicely for bars on Phuket to close', it does state that it is not against the law to open. This is, I must admit, a new one on me. Have the Police been threatening for all this time with no substance behind them. What about other holidays when the bars are closed. Is this only intimidation as well. Worth a look at I think.

Do I detect from this post that certain bars may be opening today?

overhere evrything runs "full trottle" my frend, you should tell your "boss" that she's haven't got a clue about the closingorders of "bars"... overhere every bar is a restaurant ( like yours i guess) no problemo .... :o

Yesterday in Surin:

Of the two restaurants I visited, both were open and serving alcohol. Of two hotels, one was wet, one was dry.

Arriving home at 6:00 pm last evening there was a 'party' in my local. Two guys (one a MiB) were already comotosed and the rest were well on their way. TiT.

What a riducolous thing to say DD. I see you're still slagging Surin and everything that moves in it. Anyone with a mere hint of commonsense would read that business is normal. In fact the intelligent ones did. I suppose that's normal though, when one gets thrown out of somewhere, they tend to start hating the place. But a city. :o:D:D

well lampie, it has nothing to do with Surin, i might even come over soon for a few days to show you that i am not as "trown out" as you think, but your, or is it here ?, opinion about closingtimes and serving times is as rediculous as the comment you gave about the topic... :D
