Seems I spend so much time on the internet that my "leather look" chair that I brought from Global House just over a year ago (so no warranty) is now not what it was.

The "leather look" plastic is peeling off at an alarming rate.

It's a comfortable chair so I don't really want to throw it out.

Does anyone know of an company that can effect such repairs?

Thanks in advance

I have had good luck with a shop which you can find by going north on Tung Hotel Rd past Kaew Narawart Rd, past Doi Saket Rd into the windy section that goes out to the Super Highway. (Tung Hotel may change names in there but my map does not show it.) It is on the left side where there is a road merging in at an angle from the left side and a market on the left side. Tung Hotel road is turning to the right at that point. If you get to Suksuwat Lumber Yard, you have gone too far.

There's a little hole in the wall shop that did a really good job on an old recliner I had.

Follow Changklan Rd towards the river, go past the RatiLanna Hotel and follow the road until if forks.

Don't take the left fork under Mahidol Rd, take the right and it's just on the right hand side almost immediately you turn.

Or of course you can enter from Mahidol and it will be near the junction on the left.

In the Sansai Noi area, driving down Doi Saket Rd towards the city, next to/just before the place selling tiles and cisterns (big 'American Standard' sign), before the big yellow 'city limit' sign and opposite moo ban Regent One. A little shop charged us a 100 baht to re-upholster a chair for us. Did a decent job.

i got some old second chair from a net cafe - that have those Pv style leather on it . and i still used it for 3 years before it start to peel .

if it not too expensive is time to replace them , and get something else , it would cost about 400 up- i assume , there is many place that can do it . but it would depend on where you stay .

but all are good just look if you can get it back the same day or within a few days . some take week cos of their work load and Q .

good luck .

On the other side of town there is a upholstery shop near the Tops grocery store and Mercure hotel (formerly Novatel) near Chang Phueak. I think it's on Chang Phueak 4. It's the road where the fire station is located. Shop is same side of road as fire station but more to the east. Hard to miss it. Will see various car seats etc right on the street.

Never had anything done there but they seem to do a lot of business.

I second Bill97's suggestion. Lanna Cushion is the place to go. I've had several things made or recovered there. Their prices are very easy on the pocketbook. They have a website, but even though you have to choice of Thai or English, all is in Thai. A map is on the Contact Us page.

Thanks for the help

Now does anyone know where I can buy a decent Table tennis table?

Saw what looked like regulation Ping Pong tables at Carffour a while back.
