Suvarnabhum Airport To Sukhumvit By Skytrain ?

Featured Replies

I haven't been in Bangkok for a while. Is it of any use to use the new Skytrain from Suvarnabhum airport if one wants to go to Sukhumvit ?

It is possible. Take the City Link train from the airport to Phayathai (15 Baht one way until the end of the year) and the Skytrain from there to Sukhumvit. Website

Couple of caveats to the earlier replies, do you have luggage and where do you want to go on Sukhumvit, Sukhumvit is pretty long.

If you have little or no luggage then the Airport link is pretty good, I've done it a few times. As has been pointed out you can go to Phayathai and connect to the BTS Sukhumvit line, but if you have luggage and/or your destination is upper Sukhumvit, or is it lower Sukhumvit, the Onnut end, then a taxi is probably still the best bet.
