Airport To Chinatown

Featured Replies

I will be arriving in Bangkok Airport and my Hotel is near the Huamapholong Railway Station.

Just wondering if I can get a train from the airport there or would I be better of getting a Cab?

Is it far from the Airport.

Thanks.

Get a taxi mate, even if you take the airport link, you will still need a taxi on the other end. Too much running around for maybe 100 baht savings.

Remember from the airport you will have to add 50 baht on the meter at the end and you pay the expressway tolls.

Altogether should be no more than 300-400 baht all in.

Yes thankyou,I cannot find the railway/tube station for the Airport,is it called Airport station,or something else ?

I am looking at the Bangkok transport map.

Its called the airport link. What time do you arrive? If its not during rush hour your cab ride should take less than an hour.

Yes i arrive 10pm on a Friday night.

My hotel is just around the corner from Hualomphong railway station.

To get the train,i go underneath the airport to Suvarnmhi railway station and then do i change at Makkassan to get on the line to Huampholong?

You can't really take a normal train to your final destination. The simplest is to grab a taxi from the makkasan station to your hotel. Hualampong does not link up with the airport link or even the bts skytrain. There is a subway station there but it does link up to makkasan airport link station.

See what I mean it being a hassle. But the final decision is yours. I would take a taxi, especially at that time of night.

With all this hopping around, cross your fingers that it will not be raining.
