Vietnam Viettel D-Com 3G Usb Modem

I've got one of the subject devices and it works great where I am living in the VN provinces. It is sold by Viettel in VN but I'm thinking that it is a generic device that could be used anywhere using a local SIM card...am I wrong?

Anyone got one in service in Thailand with a local SIM card?

I use such devices in some countries and generally,they are locked,even if they were expensive.

There is one knowledgable person here,who is active in computers/internet forum,he knows everything about this subject;his nik is "jujitsu";look for his old posts,you will find the answers.

He knows,how to unlock your locked dongle.may be he will be willing to help you.
