I went to the agent ChiangMai Technical Engineering on the Ring Rd. near the Government House (MaeRim).

Got an offer for HD quality TV reception for set up

B. 13500.- and yrly.fee

B.9000 makes total B. 22'500.-

Can anyone advise me if the service is good value for money or if there are other options?

I live outside of CM in Sankamphaeng.

No there trying to hit you for full set up. Try siam tv round the moat, they usually have free installation and for just 4000thb deposit its usually set up next day.

In the Chiang Mai area always deal withe the main True Vision office in the Siam Electronic Plaza next to the Chines Consulate on the south side of the moat. Never deal with a satellite operation.

I would not bother with True Visions especially with HD as there are 2 channels so far. If you research the forum a lot of contributors have cancelled their True Visions subscription

Not much choice that far out of town though. I still love my true visions package and really enjoy watching the football on HD, so no complaints from me. But each to their own I suppose.
