hi' all

I went yesterday to Mae Sai for a visa run ...

I have a non-o multiple entry, so no problem for me.

I went with some french buddies staying here a while, they all ran out of visa,

so they had to get a 30 days visa.

1. the statement that said "make photocopies of each page of your passport" has disapeared.

2.the paper that said not more than 2x30 days visa through Mae Sai/Tachileik allowed is gone also.

3.no more rules like this one is shown in any way .. no papers, no board, no announcement.

4.they are faster and nicer in the stamp-in offices ... just like before ...

might have been a temporary stress :o

all of them got their visa easy and quick, with a smile :D

any idea if this "apec" rules are still on, like not more than 2x30 days/visa through

Mae Sai/Tachileik ?

Francois,

Just wondering- Did they ask you for a "receipt of notification" for reporting your address?

He is on a multiple Non-Immigrant O visa. Doesn't stay the full 90 days, so no need to report to Immigration.

hi'

right DR as always :o

and anyway, if they ask me a paper to prove where I live, we have our family book,

on which I could add my name as the father of our beloved daughter :D

and they have the same address in records for a few times already ...

but true, as DR said, I always take two days before the last day ... in case of,

border closed .. have to go to chiang Saen ... or any car problem that could oblige me to stop for one night ... just being cautious B)

no overstay is a good thing for them to keep in records B)

cheers Dr
