Another Torrent Question

I have True 8Mb service and all the torrents come down very good speed. BUT it's getting them to begin with that sometimes takes forever from the Sites I am a member of IPtorrents and Bitmetv. Like I say once I click and wait and wait and wait but when it does come in it comes down very fast whats the deal any ideas ??

Are your ports open on your router and are there a lot of seeders for what you are trying to download?

Both of these can effect speed !
