Best Adsl Service On Nut Area ?

Featured Replies

Seems there are a lot of knowledgeable folks on this forum so I thought I's seek a recommendation here.

Clear video/audio over skype for international calls is my main priority.

It sounds like Maxnet premier might be ok for this ? Good upload speed ?

Experience/ advice appreciated! Thanks

Depending on where you are in On Nut you may well not be able to opt for Maxnet.

I know some people living out that way who can only have True, best find out whats available in your area and then decide what best suits your needs.

It's more of a question of which providers cover your area.

I live near the middle of Onnut (soi 35 area) and decided to get an internet connection 2 weeks ago.

I tried to get True service. They spent a long time having me fill out papers and checking their computer, etc, then finally told me they don't have wi-fi coverage for my soi. So we went through it all again for a fixed line connection, and in the end they said there weren't any lines open for my area. 2 hours wasted..

So I went to TOT, they said "No problem", and they got me set up with wi-fi within a week at a lower price than True. It's working dependably but I never get more than 600Kb speed on my 6Mb package.

(The funny thing is, I had gotten an internet connection set up a couple years ago on the same soi, and at that time, TOT couldn't give me a line, but True could.)

Do you currently have a fixed telephone line? If so, your options may be limited.

In similar circumstances I always recommend speaking to neighbors about their ISP. Then you'll get a feel for what is available in your specific neighborhood, and what may or may not be a good service.

Thanks all.

More tricky than I anticipated!

I'm not far from the BTS station - soi 81.

My apartment currently has True wifi its ok for surfing but doesn't cut it when it comes to VOIP - upload speed about 0.25 mb/s at the best of times.

I can see that some of my neighbors have their own routers - mostly True again it would seem. Trouble is it seems they offer good download speeds these days but poor upload speed - I want at least 1 mb/s.

I'm not sure about my phone line - its got a DSL port fitted already but I'm not sure what that means or who supplies it, Apartment staff were not too helpful in this respect...
