6 pounds a pint in 'The Irish Times'

Traffic, Traffic and even more traffic.

Limited parking and even having to pay for parking outside a restaurant your are eating at.

Adding shedloads to my carbon footprint by constantly having to drive round and round a one way system.

Although legal, being stopped by police at least once a day.

Having to say I dont want a suit or ladyboy massage many many times.

Paying to spend a penny..or should I say 10 baht....

Expense, expense,expense,

Will be back soon!!!!!...must say the view from the cape at sunset is fantastic

Sounds like Patong to me, its why I moved away!!!

yeah, better headline would be "Why I loved Patong in Phuket Province"

The rest of Phuket isnt very similar

but when saying "the view from the cape at sunset is fantastic", is that out of Patong and if so, why go back to Patong?

and walking 80 meters from The Irish Time you get 4-6 pints draft for 6 pounds :D

not really upset, there are just so many threads stating Phuket IS Patong, while Patong is just a tiny dot on the Phuket map

and there are so many people saying they have been to Phuket, but actually they have only been to Patong but make their friends believe all of Phuket is like Patong :whistling:

If you love it that much, why did you come here?

Well, possibly I misunderstood your posting completely. In that case, I ask you to forgive me...

Enlighten me.. 4 to 6 pints of draft for 300 baht ?? Where ??

Let alone the guiness which is what you pay 300 baht for in the IT (their draft beer isnt that poor value).

Except for the tailors.

Being stopped by police at least once a day happens nowhere on Phuket BTW.

in the middle of Jungceylon at the stage, Chang draft +300 baht for 3 liters thats 7 pints of beer

Good deal.. Chang draft mind but fair enough..

Never tried drinking in the places there.

250 baht/3 litres in Hua Hin :)

Chang draft is good in my opinion. Chang bottled or canned isnt.

in a year living at Karon/Kata/Chalong I was stopped twice by police.

Once when cycling though Chalong roundabout - he just wanted to see my bike and ask about the gears

second at a checkpoint where everyone was being stopped for licence checks.

Always wore a helmet, so many times thru Chalong roundabout where visitors being stopped for no helmet, easy pickings.

constantly having to drive round and round a one way system?

Patong.
