Questions About Tourist Visa

Recommended Posts

We are planning a trip for 2 persons (31 and 27 years old) trip in June for in total 5 weeks in Thailand, Loas and cambodja.

1) Must we buy a visa (we are not staying longer then 30 days in Thialand: we only arrive at Bangkok airport and stay for 2 days in Bangkok. On the end of that 5 weeks we also stay only 2 days in Bangkok).

2) If the answer on question 1 is yes, what is the price for each person when we buy this visa on arrival in Bangkok airport for two persons (It is possible to buy at the airport at arrival I assume) ?

Thanks a lot.

What country are you coming here from ? Your details are a bit unclear, there must be a consulate nearby where you obtain the correct visa before you get here.

The Thaivisa.com links section top of this page (just under your logged in name) gives detailed explanations, try the "tourist visa" link and there is a "visa on arrival" link in the yellow section on the left hand side of the page.

We are both dutch.

When we pass the border to for exmple Laos and we return in Thailand 4 weeks later, I assume we get a new mark in our passport with a new date on it. The 30 days are again starting from that last date ??

Why is this not true ??

Thanks a lot.

Why do they have that section in the tourist visa section doc ? if it is wrong maybe it should be removed

A tourist visa enables a 60 day stay Bronco. The permit on arrival allows a 30 day stay, but it is conditional on one having a confirmed outbound airticket within that 30 day period.

With Dutch passports you will get 30 days on arrival at Bangkok Airport, but you should have a confirmed return ticket within that 30 days. The Airlines require that, and sometimes (rarely) the Thai Immigration does.

Best option is to apply for a triple 60 days Tourist visa in Holland before travelling, then you don't need any return ticket, and you can enter the Kingdom 3 times.
