Please, only a pure extract, NOT pasturized or an aloe drink mix, or with any additives whatsoever.

Would prefer in 500ml size or larger.

why not just take the fresh aloe flesh and blend it with water and drink it?

Not aware of any extracts for sale but even when I used them in the past I thought the fresh drink was more effective digestively.

I am guessing you have tried the two health food stores already?

copy and paste of some of the possible benefits.

"Aloe vera juice stimulates colonic irrigation, the process of loosening and washing out waste materials from the digestive system. These include food residues, toxins, and bacteria. These wastes can clog the intestinal lining and prevent nutrients from getting fully absorbed. Studies show that taking aloe vera juice regularly over several weeks can help break down residues and improve colonic irrigation. It also regulates the production of stomach acids, preventing digestive problems like ulcer, acid indigestion, colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Anti-inflammatory and pain relief

Aloe vera juice benefits people with rheumatoid arthritis analgesic and anti-inflammatory abilities. It helps relieve joint pain, reduce stiffness, and improves joint movement to prevent waste buildup. It also contains mucopolysaccharides, which are basic sugars essential in cell regeneration. This helps rebuild muscle tissues and disperse damaged cells. Its cooling ability also alleviates pain and inflammation.

Cancer and blood disease prevention

Another important element in aloe vera juice is acemannan, which is believed to increase the production of white blood cells. This helps the body fight bacteria and viruses, as well as prevent the growth of cancer cells. It is currently being studied for potential use against breast and ovarian cancer, leukemia, and diseases caused by low blood cell counts.

Aloe Vera is a VERY common plant in Thailand. (Hang Jorakae / 'Crocodile's Tail' ) You can easily grow your own; I have a couple plants in my garden. They multiply by themselves actually.

I could give you a couple plants to get you started if you can't find them. (But they're so common, you just see them along the road sometimes.)

yes and the health food stores sell big fat aloe branches or whatever they are called for about 15 baht each.

The local stores also take the fresh aloe flesh and blend them with water or juice to make own fresh drinks for sale.

It's a very useful plant that people have been using for thousands of years. It's also very effective if you get burned or get sunburn. Just break off a piece from your plant and apply it to the burn.

Thanks so much for the responses!

We do have aloe growing at home but the most beneficial leaves are the large mature ones and they take quite a while to grow.

I wouldn't mind buying the large leaves or any other fresh form that doesn't have additives or preservatives.

And where are these health food stores? Are you talking about the King's produce outlets?

We would prefer the pure juice or extract since we use it externally as well.

Baan Suan Pak is very close to the President Hotel (on the other side of the street in the small complex behind the vegetarian restaurant when heading toward the river).

There is another decent health food store on Neimanhaiman road called Aden.
