Can anyone help me? I'm looking for accommodation on Koh Yao Yai near the Koh Yao Yai Village resort. Any suggestions? Also there isn't much online for the island - I wondered if there will be more options for accommodation once I get there...? Finally, is the best option to go from Krabi (I'm coming over from Surat Thani).

Why not try Koh Yao Yai Village resort? It definitely is the nearest.

You could also go there from Phuket, the ferry leaves from the pier at Ao Po in northern Phuket.

Apart from the few resorts, there are some 'home stay' type accommodations on both Koh Yao Yai and Koy Yao Noi. However, you also need to keep in mind that both islands are Muslim, which wouldn't alter either the welcome or standard of facilities for home stay, but of course could be restrictive for some social aspects. Better to check into a resort. The pier for landing on Koh Yao Yai is on the western (Phuket facing) side of the island, so ferry from Ao Po pier is best.
