An interesting job offer on the UK Embassy website, they a looking to recruit a Research Officer to complete a research project to: identify the main concerns and needs of retired British Nationals resident in Thailand and to identify the services provided by the Thai Authorities and international and local NGOs. The officer will need to compile a list of recommendations on how to address the needs of the retired British population.

It's good to see that they are researching this area, I think it's 84,000 Baht well spent, I think that equates to 36 proof of income letters.

Sorry to be negative but the salary is 28k per month, depending on experience, with (obviously) the requirements to travel within LOS and have a good command of written and spoken Thai and English.

Hence my comment about being 84,000 being well spent, equating to 36 income letters, did you not detect the sarcasm?

Think they are targeting graduates for whom the 28,000 would not be bad, think they should be looking for someone with a bit of experience in life, but what do I know?

Why do you need to be old to talk to a bunch of crotchety old duffers? I think a young girly will get much better response from them.

I agree, she might get some interesting answers but I doubt if they would be relevant to her research.
