Looking For Private Muay Thai Lessons In Chiang Mai....

Featured Replies

Can anyone give a recommendation? I'm looking for a private coach in Chiang Mai--the less tourist-oriented the better. I just need someone who can be flexible as I have a slight handicap to work around and can only throw full punches with one hand. I can use the other hand a little though and have no issues with knees, elbows, or feet. I speak a little bit of Thai, am good at communicating even when language isn't enough, and I've got lots of Thai friends who can come to translate on first meeting -- so their level of English doesn't worry me much.

I've trained in martial arts before but not much striking and zero muay thai. Thanks in advance for any leads.

Go to Lanna Boxing and ask for Den. The camp gets both tourists as well as serious boxers. Den has been around for a long time and will probably be able to train you when the camp isn't too busy, i.e. mornings. He speaks English well. Google Lanna Boxing. Good luck.

Send me a PM CM-jaiyen. Our school has a Muay Thai teacher (Thai) that can give you reasonable rates for private lessons. He's a good instructor and his rates are comparable if not cheaper than other camps in town. Nice guy too.
