Internal Myofascial Release For Pelvic Trigger Points

Featured Replies

In the US recently there have been a number of studies that link tight pelvic floor muscles and trigger points to a myriad of urological symptoms. Through relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles by the patient and through internal massage of the trigger points (via the rectum) by a qualified physical therapist, many patients have become symptom free. See: http://pelvicpainhelp.com/abstractofresearch.php

In the US this method of treatment is becoming accepted, with many urologists referring patients to specialist physical therapists once all of the standard tests come back negative.

Is anyone aware of any physical therapists doing this work in Thailand?

(Jokes about bar girls and bar boys not necessary)

Thanks for any info.

Also interested in this and also can not seem to find anyone in Thailand who doesn't look at me like I am crazy when I ask if they do this. Anyone? It is being practiced across America and Australia.

I would like to bring this topic back up. Does anyone know a pelvic floor specialist in Thailand? There are many specialized clinics in a few western countries but cannot find anything for Thailand. Thank you.

The only person I can think of approaching would be Sila Carson. She does Myofacial Release and trigger point .
