Exhibition of Members' Work 2011

2nd Floor, Northern Village, Central Airport Plaza, Chiang Mai

January 15th – 30th 2011

The Chiang Mai Photographic Group will be holding their third annual exhibition at Central Airport Plaza in January and invite you to come along and enjoy a diverse collection of exciting images.

This year's exhibition is entitled "Our World" and will feature about 90 mounted pictures by 15 photographers from half a dozen countries now living in Chiang Mai. We have a Grand Opening (yes, free wine!) on Saturday 15th January at 4:00 and the show runs daily from 11:00 to 8:00pm until Sunday 30th when it closes at 6:00. If you make it to the exhibition, please come and introduce yourself as we're always pleased to welcome other photographers to the group or simply our beautiful city. The last two shows were a big success and this one is looking good too!

CMPG is a non-profit organisation which aims to further all aspects of the picture taking abilities of its members through the sharing of skills and mutual support in an informal and inclusive atmosphere. Meetings are held every other Wednesday at the Red Mango and all those with an interest in photography, be it film or digital are warmly invited. For details of meeting dates and directions to the venue please visit our website. Meetings are conducted in English but all nationalities are welcome.

Our posters are now going to print but if there is anyone who'd like to print one out to display locally, you can get copies here - just choose the image size you want and right click on it.

There are nine posters in the series - here are some...

Cool, isn't it! It's a Mac application but I forget the name right now, the member who did this one is away for a few days but I'll post it when he returns. Did you check out the other version too? It was done using Animoto which also does a good job and it's a doddle to use.

We are getting excited over a site called Minus which is about as friendly and simple as you can get for sharing pictures. We put our collection of exhibition posters on it yesterday because it's even simpler to use than Smugmug when it comes to getting links and sharing. Check it out here.

I think that this is my favorite. It is titled: "A WALK IN THE CLOUDS"

No, I am not the photographer that shot it. :(
