Is Monday, Jan 03 A Holiday ?

Hi,

Anyone know if Jan 03 is still part of the holiday period and are the general population of embassies open for business. ?

(Need to go to the Kazakhstan consulate but hard to contact these guys as they only accept calls 2 days a week and weren't answering their phone last Thursday)

Monday is a Thai bank holiday so all government departments will be closed so yes I guess embassies will also be closed as they tend to follow local holidays.

Won't take the chance then as its a bit of a journey from Pattaya ...Been up there twice before and they are not very customer orientated. ie only open 3 days a week for 2 hours/day and only answer the phone 2 days a week for a few hours.
