No photos but on Youtube, I came across a fellow that had downloaded all his 1980s era VHS tapes! Made for really interesting viewing. He was from Europe, German as I recall but I could be wrong.

I miss the 1980's Pattaya, this is why I fell in love with Thailand and its women. I really wonder how a Paradise can go so wrong to the mess it is now, all in the name of development. Look how peaceful it is.

I love seeing the old photos. I am sure I see one of the same Baht Bus Toyotas I recently rode in! But that's OK. It beats walking, they are very convenient and they are cheap. I don't mind the age. Heck, I am still driving a 1997 buick today! Cheap charlie frugal engineer am I, but I get to go to Thailand a lot.

Having visited Pattaya for the first time last year, I am sad to see what it used to be through these photos and know what it has become now. I wish I could of seen it back when those photos were taken, but I wasn't even born yet!
