Woman Found Murdered In Home, Found 3 Months Later

Featured Replies

Woman found murdered inside her home, three months after she had died.

Police were called to house number 194/137 at SS Villas in Central Pattaya to investigate the apparent murder of a woman. The victim is Khun Batoomar aged 32 who rents the house from Khun Batamar. Amazingly she had been dead for approximately three months prior to the discovery. The well preserved body which is due to the fact that the room’s air conditioning unit had remained operational for the entire three months, clearly showed signs of a suspicious death. Around her neck was a piece of cable and an obvious facial injury to her right cheek was evident. The house was locked from the outside and neighbors mentioned to us that she had both foreign and Thai boyfriends but did not interact with her neighbors, which is why her body remained undiscovered for three months. The corpse is now undergoing a post mortem examination and the investigation to track down the murderer has begun.

For a body to be preserved for 3 months with little detereoration, then the room must have maintained a temperature of <4 degrees celcius. I suppose with a powerful aircon set to supercool then this might be nearly possible but I am still amazed, if the cadaver really is in good condition.

The putrifaction of the body begins from inside, and even the initial body core temperature of 36.9 would have contributed towards decays of internal organs particularly the G.I.T.

Amazing Thailand.

It seems quite unbelievable that in a busy city like Pattaya that the poor woman was not found for three months.......obviously she had no one who really cared about her in the area.....Very sad.

I'd expect the landlord would have looked for payment of said flat. Very odd - they didnt go check on her.

Somebody surely would have noticed that the aircon was running night and day.

If you don't pay your electricity bill in time you're cut off 7 days behind due date. :o
