What Is The Name And Where Is This Place

Back in 2004 on my first whirlwind trip to Thailand, the girl I met up with and spent a few days with was a fine tour guide. I chartered her friend's car and we went to the One Million Year Crocodile Park and Nong Nooch and the big gold buddha image on that mountain, etc and had a good time. We also spent a little time at some place that I liked, but I just am not sure what it was. It had several small temples or shrines, and I believe it may have been very chinese oriented. I remember a lot of water and the place really pretty. There was a bridge where you could "fish" for crocodiles. They gave you a bamboo pole with some bait tied on the end of the rope that hung down to the water and you could get the crocs to jump out of the water. No hooks or anything. The bait was just tied on. We were pressed for time that day and didn't stay long but I think I want to go back and see it again as I like to walk and wander around the grounds.

Can somebody help me with a link to what this place was? We drove not too far from Pattaya.

Thanks

Crocodile fishing at Sri Racha Tiger Zoo.

And at the million years stone park/ crocodile farm. Sounds like the OP is getting his memories mixed up, understandable due to the time elapsed (and probably the hangover when he first visited).

It is all part of a complex that includes Anek Kusala Sala (Viharnra Sien), which is located adjacent to the large compound of Wat Yanasangwararam, and is close to Buddha Mountain

As PattayaParent stated you are getting the Crocodile Farm mixed up with the lake that separates the Wat complex from the Chinese Museum (Viharna Sien)

From Pattaya head South on Sukumvit and turn left approximately 2 kilometers BEFORE the entrance to Nong Nooch Gardens

It could be Wat Yannasangwararam, I think that it is near the Buddha engraving on the mountain. Not sure about the crocodile fishing though. I remember doing that somewhere a long time ago, but not sure where

Look at http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/pattaya/pattaya_attractions_most_visited_places.html for some attractions

Yep, Wat Yannasangwararam it is. Thanks. I still thought we did the crocodile fishing at the quiet end of that place somewhere but I am less sure of that. I don't have any of my photos with me. They are all back at the house.

Thanks for the link.

Gosh I miss the LOS. I wish this dam_n company would lay me off and end this contract. It's been an extremely profitable 19 months with a few more still in sight, but I only took 2 weeks off last year in Thailand in May and it was so bloody hot and they were shooting up Bangkok and I left the second night they put the curfew on Pattaya. Still love the place though.
