Hi,

My system was running perfectly until I updated to 10.6.6. Since then I can no longer connect to either of my LCD tvs. I use a mini dvi adapter to hdmi cable. They are sony and samsung.

Thanks

Do you see the dvi screen in monitor prefs ?

There seems a driver issue in 10.6.5 & 10.6.6

The macbook won't detect either of the displays. I've tried combinations of having the macbook switched off, the tv switched off and both off initially. The annoying bit is they both worked fine. I saw on some forums that apple tried to blame the tv manufactuer but surely it's their issue if it happens with two different brands and was fine.

alot of peoples have issues with this, even with apple screens ...

mostly its a user-error (somethings in the profile) or the adapter.

but other users have issues with graphics drivers not properly working with some screens.

can you try create another useraccount ... reboot .. and log in as the new user .. just to make sure its not a profile issue.

after this .. reset the NVRAM .. and if this not works .. downgrade to 10.6.4 and pray thisis fixed quickly.

another (more advanced) solution would be to copy the KEXT for the graphic card from the 10.6.4 DVD (i did this at my appletv .. after the 3.0 update screwed my analog screen resolution)
