Early after Xi Jinping's rise to the Presidency in 2013, he ordered comprehensive studies to be done on China's security. Apart from issues around geo-political and cyber security, two elements of high security remain energy and food security. There were a couple of reports last week that Xi has banned China's exporting any energy resources. I doubt Dr Xi (he does have a PhD) would send Chinese war/defense resources into the conflict zone to protect US interests, especially as China's is allied with Iran. Once again Trump shows his ignorance.
