From a news article in todays Nation :

Chatchai Chookaew, an adviser to the Commerce Ministry, said he hoped the DSI would take "straightforward action" so that the culprits behind the shortage were not allowed to get away with it.

Industry sources said there were four companies that were allocated imported palm oil but had not bottled the cooking oil for retail sales at a price of Bt47 per litre as agreed earlier with the government.

These firms use the Kesorn, Yok, Waew and Raja brands

Going to Yok this morning...Will let you know later if they have oil. Big C in CM had oil a few days ago....Tesco ...nothing and Carrefours nothing. But this is the weekend so I guess their will be none left anywhere.

I thought it was WTK's job to keep us informed of these matters.

He was to set up a network of people to report who had and who didn't have.:D:lol:

Just been to YOK...No normal oil...They do not stock it....just the expensive brands. Carrefours just re-stocking shelves but 1 bottle 46 Baht per person.
