Well there is always one surprise come the final day of reckoning.

My money is on Everton to go down.

would seem they can't buy a goal and their centre forward has now turned into a goalscorer for the oposition.

No big names, no superstars, their form in Thailand was dreadful.

I said it before the season started and I'll say it again, they are going DOWN!

Any opinions?

I don't think they will go down, but they will struggle, certainly in comparison with their achievement last year.

Players like Arteta, Cahill, Van der Meyde and a few others have just a bit too much quality to let their team finish as one of the three worst in the premiership.

I think the problem is now, Everton have brought in some good players with good reputations and the pressure is on them to repeat something which they did last season. Also new players, new system, they have to get used to eachother to bring about some cohesion which Everton had in abundance last season.

Mid table finish for Everton, they will be somewhere between 12th - 10th I think

I agree with Davey that I think Everton have too much quality to go down. Last season Everton did finish 4th which surprised many people after they sold Rooney and Graveson. The sales of the stars players created strong team spirit which carried Everton to their lofty position in the table.

The only worry I would have for Everton is if they get involved in a long run in the UEFA cup. It can sometimes be more of a hinderence playing away in Eastern Europe during the week and then having to face physical teams like Blackburn/Bolton on the following Sunday. Usually the end results are fatique and many injuries.
