Airport Motorbike Rental

Featured Replies

I'll be arriving in Phuket on Friday pm and would like to rent a motorbike (experienced, licenced rider), preferably a CBR 250 but depending on price may end up with a scooter. To kill two birds with one stone and avoid taxi extortion, I figured I'd rent a bike from just outside the airport - I read it was possible....

I've emailed a couple of car rental places near the airport but nobody has replied. I'm not sure if this is because nobody reads the emails, or because they think I'm stupid for emailing a car rental place enquiring about bikes.

Two things - can anyone confirm I should be able to roll up and easily pick up a bike outside the airport, and can anyone recommend a particular dealer, by PM if necessary, with a good selection of bikes, maybe some big ones? Ideally I'll book in advance.

If not, I assume I can get the bus to Phuket town and rent from there. Where does the bus leave from at the airport? I know the geography of the city around the bus station.

Many thanks in advance.

Thank you for your two suggestions. I actually hadn't considered calling. Will do so tomorrow!

For others' info, Airport Car Rent do Honda Clicks (no other choice) for 300B/day. For a two day stay that's as convenient as I need and avoids the taxi mafia.
