Advice On Renting Motorbike On Monthly Basis?

Featured Replies

Greetings all,

Could anyone recommend a good place to rent a motorbike on a monthly basis, without being ripped off? I live in Patong but will probably have to rent from outside of Patong for a better price.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Phuket Town. Around 3k per month for a new auto Click. 2-3k for a manual Wave. They will want a photocopy of your passport and money upfront. No deposit required.

The first thing I used to do when hiring a bike for a month or more was take it the nearest mechanic shop and get him to do a quick service. Oil. plug, filter etc. Costs a couple of hundred baht but gives you piece of mind. The majority of rental places rarely touch the bike till it stops working. ;)

Try Happy Days in Pier Rd, Chalong. The usual - copy of passport, $$$ up front.

I agree Phuket town is the place for me.

At least it was until I bought one.

I befriended a good, honest Thai man there named Chai who works the corner right across the street from the Imperial Hotel (near the old clock tower near the center of town)

I believe his bikes are around 3k baht.

Why dont the mods just Peg this topic at the top?...it gets a lot of re runs and its a common thing that people ask about....just a suggestion jap.gif

OP - You could also consider buying a second hand for 15 000 and then sell it when you are leaving. :)
